Today's show calls for two creators working outside the current status quo.  Jill Thompson is an Eisner Award-winning painter and cartoonist who has worked on Wonder Woman, Sandman, Scary Godmother, Goosebumps Graphix and a whole lot more.  She speaks with Scott about the changing world of comics, their perception and her career.  Then Greg Preston, the photographer of 'The Artist Within,' joins the show to discuss his book which depicts comic artists and illustrators in their studios.

First, Douglas Paszkiewicz who draws and self-publishes 'Arsenic Lullaby' a dark humor comic that has led him to work for MAD Magazine.  The man behind the sleeper hit 'The Nightly News' out of Image Comics is Jonathan Hickman and his career is booming with more independent and corporate work in the near future.
